Lighthouse Community Church
Lighthouse Community Church began in November of 2003. The beginnings of the church were really the bringing together of three different persons or groups of people who had a heart and vision for God and His church. They desired a church that would both lead people to Christ and lead them to a deeper spiritual life experience impacting their lives, their families, and the entire community for God. Pastor Dave Anderson felt God's call to come out of the Dearborn Free Methodist Church and start a new church for people in the surrounding area of Brownstown, MI.
At present Lighthouse Community Church has a wonderful history. As we seek to fulfill the Lord's commission to reach our world in this new century. We as a local church, are making decisions to strategically reach out and impact our community. As Christians we are people with a purpose. In the midst of a busy world with all kinds of distractions, it is important for us as a people to be united around, not only our basic biblical beliefs and mission, but in our strategy for how we will accomplish this ministry. There are many churches doing ministry many different ways, all with some validity and success, but many churches spend far too much time arguing over strategy or changing strategy every year or two. This kind of approach can be highly frustration and ineffective. That's why we want all of our people to understand why we are here (Salvation), what were about (Statements), and how we are fulfilling our purposes (Strategy/Structure). In this way we join together in a united and effective ministry to our community and the world.
